Homemade Pizza Roll-Ups

Pizza Roll-Ups are a modern twist on the classic pizza, and there is no exact documented history of the dish. However, pizza itself has a long and storied history that dates back to ancient civilizations in the Mediterranean.

The origins of modern pizza can be traced back to Naples, Italy, in the 18th and 19th centuries. At that time, pizza was a simple, affordable street food that was sold by vendors to the working-class population. The traditional Neapolitan pizza was made with a thin crust, tomato sauce, and mozzarella cheese.

Pizza became popular in the United States in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, as Italian immigrants brought their culinary traditions with them. Over time, pizza evolved and took on many different forms, including deep-dish, thin-crust, and even dessert pizzas.

Pizza Roll-Ups are a more recent addition to the pizza family. They are believed to have originated in the United States in the late 20th century, and were likely inspired by other popular snack foods like egg rolls and burritos. Pizza Roll-Ups are typically made by rolling up pizza dough with cheese, sauce, and toppings, and then baking until crispy and golden brown.

Today, Pizza Roll-Ups are a popular snack or appetizer that can be found in many pizzerias and fast-food restaurants. They are also easy to make at home, and there are countless variations of the recipe that incorporate different flavors and ingredients.
